Introducing Closets Reimagined, LLC
Our mission is to create and/or transform spaces so our clients can lead more organized and less stressful daily lives. My bride of more than twenty years, Kristin, and I believe that we can support many homeowners who need a bit of help in this area. We know that with clutter and disarray comes stress. In this fast-paced society, anything we can do to help relieve stress in our daily lives is worth consideration. Picture yourself getting ready for work, church, or a special social event, walking into your closet, and struggling to find needed items because there isn’t a good structure nor is there a designated spot for everything. Now, imagine what it would be like to walk into a closet that is well-organized and pleasing to the eye. You are at peace because all of your key items are easy to locate and access. We want to work with you to customize YOUR space to fit YOUR needs.
OK, so we’re new…wouldn’t it be risky to work with a new company?
I don’t believe so – here’s why.
We’ve been working on this business seriously for most of the past year so we would be well prepared for our initial clients. But really, we have been preparing for this endeavor for decades without even knowing it.
After graduating with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech (go Jackets!!) I have spent most of my professional career in the high-tech industry here in Greensboro. I did have a bit of departure from the corporate world for a few years around 2008-2012 in which I spent some time as a real estate agent. Not the best economy in which to become a real estate agent, but I did gain some valuable experience working with clients. The best aspect of helping people buy houses was getting to know my clients and helping them get into their ideal house.
As a serious hobbyist furniture maker, I have created several items including chairs, side tables, blanket chest, chest of drawers, and others. I have taken classes in woodworking and learned how to work to a high set of standards. Custom closets are very different than fine furniture, but the standards and techniques transfer very well. Below are pictures of a couple of prior woodworking projects.
Custom built-in bookshelves with beadboard back, crown molding, edge shelves, and HVAC vent redirection.
Chippendale style chair from Hobbs Furniture class. Precision hand-cut joinery, hand carving, hand shaped.
Combining my computer aided design (CAD) skills and problem-solving skills from my engineering career with lots of experience creating and building furniture projects as well as an interest in living spaces and working with clients builds a strong set of tools needed to serve our clients well. I like to help solve problems and I like to create things.
Kristin will also play a vital role as we serve our clients. Kristin graduated with a bachelor’s from Appalachian State University (psychology) and a master’s from UNCG in early childhood intervention. Kristin left her developmental therapist supervisor position to stay at home with our two kids (17 year old son and 14 year old daughter) as they grew up. In addition to being a part-time home-teacher as our kids attend a hybrid university model school, Kristin is a big reason both our kids each have successful businesses. We have both been inspired by the entrepreneurial nature of our kids.
As well as helping with communication and coordination, Kristin is a strong advocate for our customers throughout the design and build process. She pushes to make sure that we gain a deep understanding of what would benefit our clients most and never allows us to lose focus on heavily customized solutions that are carefully and painstakingly tailored to each of our clients.
Recognizing that a custom storage solution is a big decision and a significant investment, we have decided to offer very competitive introductory pricing as we work to win initial business. We are eager to earn 5-star reviews and will not rest until we exceed your expectations. Recently, we completed our own closet (see picture below) to exercise the entire process, demonstrate capabilities, and validate our confidence in the materials and workmanship we’ll be providing.
